Physical Theater workshop “Solo LAB.”

με τη Μαρίνα Μαυρογένη και Gozde Atalay. 

Το σεμινάριο απευθύνεται σε ηθοποιούς, χορευτές, σπουδαστές παραστατικών τεχνών, αλλά και σε οποιονδήποτε αγαπά τις παραστατικές τέχνες και έχει εμπειρία στην κίνηση και το λόγο.

Λίγα λόγια για το σεμινάριο:

Είναι ωραίο και αισθάνεσαι ευλογημένος όταν παρακολουθώντας μια παράσταση, οι ερμηνευτές καταφέρνουν να σου περάσουν με επιτυχία την ιστορία που διαπραγματεύονται. Παίρνουν τα χρόνια και εσύ θυμάσαι ακόμα εικόνες, χρώματα, ενέργειες. Αυτό προϋποθέτει μια “αλήθεια” και αφορά κάθε μορφή τέχνης. 

Ο βασικός στόχος του σεμιναρίου είναι να διερευνήσουμε την προσωπική μας δημιουργικότητα, και να ανακαλύψουμε τα αντισυμβατικά στοιχεία της δημιουργικότητας αυτής. Μέσα από αυτοσχεδιασμούς, θα επινοήσουμε και θα εξελίσσουμε προσωπικά κομμάτια ταυτότητας, που κάθε ερμηνευτής διαθέτει πάνω στην σκηνή, και είναι τα εργαλεία του.

Έτσι πιο συγκεκριμένα το σώμα μας θα έρθει, σε επαφή:

• με τα συναισθήματα
• με τις ιδέες και την φαντασία μας
• με δημιουργικά παιχνίδια
• με την δραματουργία
• με την μουσική
• με τον χώρο 
• με το κοινό

Στο τέλος του σεμιναρίου κάθε ερμηνευτής θα μοιραστεί το σόλο του (work in progress) με το κοινό.

Gozde Atalay Kokkoris:

Αποφοίτησε από το τμήμα Κριτικής Θεάτρου και Δραματουργίας του Πανεπιστημίου της Κωνσταντινούπολης το 2004. Ασχολείται ενεργά με την υποκριτική από το 2000 μέχρι σήμερα ενώ συμμετείχε και στην Θεατρική ομάδα “İstanbul Tıyatro Araştırmaları Topluluğu” για 4 χρόνια. Παράλληλα, δούλεψε και ως δασκάλα Δημιουργικού δράματος μετά την αποφοίτησή της. Η βασική της σπουδή στο σωματικό θέατρο και ιδιαίτερα στην ουδέτερη μάσκα και στον θεατρικό κλόουν έλαβε χώρα αρχικά στη Μαδρίτη στο “Gabriel Chame and Hernan Gene ESTUDIOS TEATRALES” και αργότερα στο Βερολίνο με τον Thomas Prattki στο πρόγραμμα του LISPA (London International School of Performing Arts). Συμμετείχε και ολοκλήρωσε το νέο professional development program του LISPA στο Βερολίνο με υποτροφία από το ίδιο το ίδρυμα. Έχει επίσης παρακολουθήσει πολυάριθμα σεμινάρια βραχείας ή μακράς διάρκειας με καθηγητές όπως οι Mario Gonzalez, Giovanni Fusetti, Patrick Van Den Boom. Παράλληλα με τις σπουδές της στο σωματικό θέατρο, ήρθε σε επαφή και με τον κόσμο του τσίρκου αλλά και της παραδοσιακής γιόγκα. Το 2011 δίδαξε στην κοινωνική σχολή τσίρκου για παιδιά “Cabuwazi”στο Βερολίνο.Ως performer συμμετάσχει στην παράσταση “No Way Out” που πράσφατα έκανε πρεμιέρα στο Ballhaus Ost 2018-2019 Βερολίνο. Επίσης συμμετείχε στο 2ο Pocket Festival of Athens 2017 με την παράσταση “Upside Down” Nasreddin Hodja Tales, στο Φεστιβάλ Αθηνών & Επιδαύρου 2014 στην παράσταση “A Quiet Voice” , στο ZirCouplet-Variete shows 2012 & 2013 στο Βερολίνο, σε παράσταση δρόμου για το Carnival of Cultures Festival 2012 στο Βερολίνο καθώς και σε σειρά άλλων παραστάσεων. Από το 2009, ζει και εργάζεται σε διάφορες χώρες παίρνοντας μέρος σε διεθνή προγράμματα, παίζοντας σε παραστάσεις, σκηνοθετώντας αλλά και διδάσκοντας.

Μαρίνα Μαυρογένη: 

Η Μαρίνα Μαυρογένη είναι χορογράφος και physical actress. Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1972 και ολοκλήρωσε τις σπουδές της στον χορό στην Ανώτερη Επαγγελματική Σχολή Χορού «Κέντρο Μελέτης Χορού Ισιδώρας και Ραϋμόνδου Ντάνκαν». 

Συνεχίζει τη μελέτη πάνω στην κίνηση, το χορό, τη χορογραφία, τον αυτοσχεδιασμό και την έκφραση δίπλα σε καταξιωμένους καλλιτέχνες/ δασκάλους όπως οι: Jylian Hamilton, Guy Gools, Mary O’Donell, Jeremy Nelson, Marie-gabrielle Rottie, Paul Douglas, Sumako Koseki, Norbert Servos, Kurt Koegel, Thomas Thayer, Wendy Peron, Lutz Foster, Claude Brumachon & Benjamin, James Lepore, Daniel Lommel, James D’Silva. Παράλληλα διδάσκει, χορεύει, χορογραφεί και σκηνοθετεί. 

Από το 1997 έως και σήμερα είναι καλλιτεχνική διευθύντρια, χορογράφος και σκηνοθέτης της ομάδας Α ΚΙΝ. 

Έχει παρουσιάσει έργα της σε σειρά καλλιτεχνικών χώρων, συμπεριλαμβανομένου του Μεγάρου Μουσικής Αθηνών και διαφόρων θεάτρων στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Δουλειές της, έχουν φιλοξενηθεί σε Ελληνικές και Βαλκανικές Πλατφόρμες Χορού, ενώ έχει αναλάβει αναθέσεις για τη δημιουργία ειδικών performances για συγκεκριμένους χώρους και εκδηλώσεις (Τελετή Έναρξης 26ου, 27ου και 28ου Κλασσικού Μαραθωνίου Αθηνών, Τελετή Έναρξης του Ευρωπαϊκού Πρωταθλήματος Κωπηλασίας). 

Τον Απρίλιο του 2015 ίδρυσε το χώρο τέχνης και έρευνας “A KIN Art Space” στο ιστορικό κέντρο της Αθήνας. 

Χρησιμοποιεί το σώμα της, ως βασικό κώδικα επικοινωνίας και ενώνει κάθε φορά τις δυνάμεις της με διαφορετικές μορφές τέχνης με στόχο να δημιουργήσει έργα που υπηρετούν την παραστατική τέχνη.

H Μαρίνα Μαυρογένη ζει και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα.

This workshop is designed for performers, writers, comedians, actors and individuals of all levels who are interested in developing original solo performance material whether it is for dance theatre, stand-up, storytelling, monologues or a budding one-person show.

A few words about the workshop:

When watching a performance, one feels blessed when the performers manage to convey the story they’re involved in successfully.

The primary goal of the seminar is to explore our personal creativity and discover the unconventional elements of that creativity. Through improvisations, we’ll devise and develop personal items of identity, that every performer has on stage and comprise their tools.

Specifically our body will come in contact with:

• emotions and sensations
• our impulsive ideas and imagination
• creative games
• dramaturgy
• music
• space
• the audience

*At the end of the seminar, each performer will share his/her solo (work in progress) with the audience.

Facilitators:

Gozde ATALAY is a physical theater facilitator, director and actress born in Turkey and based in Athens. She’s been performing since 2000 and graduated from the department of Theater Criticism and Dramaturgy of Istanbul University in 2004. As a physical theater performer, she studied at “Chame and Gene Estudios Teatrales” in Madrid and with Thomas Prattki at London International School of Performing Arts, where she completed the new full-time professional development program with a scholarship. She’s also trained with Mario Gonzalez, Giovanni Fusetti, Matej Matejka and Patrick Van Den Boom. Also she is engaging actively with other circus techniques and in 2011-2012 she taught in the social circus school for children “Cabuwazi” in Berlin. She’s performed in Berlin Ballhaus Ost 2018-2019 & London Camden`s People Theatre in the performance ”No Way Out” with the company Flight of Escales, 2017 Santander Mujeres Que Cuentan Festival “Queens”, in the 3rd Storytelling Festival of Athens 2016 ” Upside Down” Nasreddin Hodja Tales, in the International Theater Athens & Epidaurus Festival 2014 “A Quiet Voice”, in Berlin ZirCouplet-Variete Shows 2012 & 2013, on a street performance for the Berlin International Carnival of Cultures Festival 2012 and a number of other performances. She is currently working with the company La Volada on a new show. Since 2006, she has been living and working in several countries, where she is performing, directing and teaching in various international projects.

Marina Mavrogeni is a choreographer and physical actress. She was born in Athens in 1972 and completed her studies at the “Isadora & Raymond Duncan Dance Research Center (DDRC)”.

She continues her studies on movement, dance, choreography, improvisation and expression next to acclaimed artists/teachers like: Jylian Hamilton, Guy Gools, Mary O’Donell, Jeremy Nelson, Marie-gabrielle Rottie, Paul Douglas, Sumako Koseki, Norbert Ser-vos, Kurt Koegel, Thomas Thayer, Wendy Peron, Lutz Foster,

Claude Brumachon & Benjamin, Ja-mes Lepore, Daniel Lommel , James D’Silva.  At the same time she teaches, dances, choreographs and directs. 

From 1997 until today she is the artistic director, choreographer and director of the group A KIN, with a new performance almost every year.

She presented her work in various artistic spaces, the Megaron Athens Concert Hall included, as well as various theatres in Greece and other countries. Her work has been hosted in Greek and Balkan Dance platforms, while she did undertake assignments for special performances for specific places and events (Starting Ceremony of the 26th, 27th and 28th classic Marathon of Athens, Starting Ceremony of the European Rowing Championship). 

In April 2015 she founded the art and research space “A KIN Art Space” in the historical center of Athens. 

She is using her body as a basic communication code and connects her strengths every time with different art forms wanting to create projects that serve the figurative art. 

Marina Mavrogeni is living and working in Athens. She continues teaching, including her method for performing arts and evolving as a person,performer and teacher.
